How to remove limescale inside your kettle

Removing limescale from your kettle is important. We all love a good cuppa tea from time to time, but there's nothing worse than a kettle covered in lime scale. Water contains calcium that precipitates on the bottom and the heating element, ensuring that over time it will no longer produce enough heat. Limescale has an insulating effect and reduces efficiency.

Fortunately, it is possible to remove this build-up simply by using something that is mildly acidic like vinegar, citric acid or lime juice. Any of these acids will quickly remove the slightly akaline hard water stains.
